WHAT TYPE OF THERAPY DO YOU PRACTICE
My practice is Holistic meaning we are working on you as a whole, or what we think of more specifically as:  Body, Mind and Soul.  Mind: We will access your mind through more traditional style talk therapy and involves me getting to know you and your story and uncovering your past in order to help understand what may be impacting your present.  This piece also involves being aware of the habituals thoughts of the your mind and how you tend to speak to yourself. Body: Practicing connecting to and noticing sensations in your physical body. If necessary I will also incorporate Somatic (body based) therapies such as yoga, mindfulness and bioenergetics techniques to help connect you with your physical body.  Soul: much of this will depend on your interest in this aspect and if you're curious we can explore deeper questions regarding spirituality and connecting to a higher power and your life's purpose.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
Yes. I do hold a certain number of spaces in my practice for those who are ready and willing to do the work but are not able to afford my regular rate. My rate is $120/hour but I offer a range between $25-$120. I leave it up to you to decide what works for you.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE CHANGE IN MY LIFE?
This depends on various factors, one big one which depends on your intentions or goals with therapy. In addition, I often like to answer this question with a metaphor to working out.  If you wanted to change your physical body, how long do you think it would take?  Perhaps you know from your own experience that when you worked out regularly, consistently you experienced change.  Or perhaps you've wanted to but just couldn't seem to find the motivation or weren't able to see the changes. The truth is that everyones process is unique and so the length of time is going to vary.  Most importantly be compassionate with yourself and the pace of your healing.
